As Hold Me Closer, the duo of Elton John and Britney Spears, was released today, the British artist has lifted the lid on the design of the title.

And above all, how he managed to convince the popstar to return to the recording studio.

However, the situation was not very encouraging, but that is precisely what convinced the Rocketman.

“Everyone said she couldn't sing anymore.

But I said she was brilliant when she started, so I think she can still be.

And she did.

I was really thrilled with what she did,” he told The

.

Obviously, the interpreter of

was able to find the right words to restore her confidence in her.

“She's been gone so long;

there is a lot of fear because she has been betrayed so many times… We held her hand throughout the process, reassuring her that everything would be fine”, he explains.

Uncle Elton

Having gone through painful personal situations, he has, he says, “the experience necessary to advise people and help them”.

Britney Spears, who were coming out of her hard fight to end the guardianship that bound her, was in this case.

And so it was only natural that he reached out to his friend.

“It's difficult when you're young.

Britney was broken.

I was broken when I got sober.

I was in a terrible state.

I've been through this feeling of being broken up and it's horrible.

And luckily, I've been sober for 32 years and I've never been happier.

Now I have the experience to advise people and help them, because I don't want to see artists in a sorry state,” he said.

The British artist wishes only one thing to Britney Spears today.

“Rehab is such a wonderful thing for anyone.

And I'm just crossing my fingers that it gives her the confidence to get back in the studio, make more records, and realize that she's damn good," he said.

“I'm Uncle Elton.

They can call me,” he concluded of artists who need help and dare not wave to him.
