• Modern Health sues Pfizer and BioNTech for "copying" its patent on Covid vaccines

The coronavirus figures continue to be the lowest of the entire summer.

Health has reported

9,192 cases of Covid-19

in Spain, 172 more positives than in Tuesday's report.

Of these numbers, 5,396 correspond to the group of people over 60 years of age.

Which translates to

58%

of reported infections being attributed to the elderly.

Some very positive figures compared to those at the beginning of the month.

August began with 19,417 cases

(in the report on day 2), 10,225 fewer infections than today.

So far this month, the ministry has recorded

106,397 positives between the report on day 2 and today.

A high result but far from the sum of the previous month.

The July figures are five times the August count with 535,935 positives throughout the month.

Health has recorded

3,510 admitted patients and 241 in an ICU,

555 hospitalizations less than three days ago.

The bed occupancy rate stands at 3.06%, compared to 8.23% a month ago (July 26 report) and in ICUs at 2.91% compared to 5.97% of last month.

This week closes with a higher number of deaths than the previous report (119 on Tuesday), but it is still one of the lowest in the seventh wave.

The report has registered

141 deaths from coronavirus,

22 deaths more than three days ago.

A considerable difference compared to the 358 notified a month ago.

Despite the slight increase this week, the downward curve continues for another week and accumulates 1,677 deaths during the month of August.
