"Crackling..." The dazzling welding flowers splashed everywhere, and the gray smoke rose up on the floor.

On August 24, there was a busy scene in the warehouse of the Loudi application workshop in the Zhuzhou Depot of China Railway Guangzhou Bureau Group Co., Ltd. The three masters of the welding team were "sewing and repairing" the trucks.

There are many factories and mines in the area under the jurisdiction of the Loudi application workshop. During the summer transport this year, the transportation volume of iron ore, coal and other goods has increased compared with previous years, and the demand for high-quality railway trucks and gondolas has also increased.

In the process of cargo loading and unloading, factories and mines are likely to cause damage to the body, doors and other parts of the truck. The welding masters in the station repair operation site need to work overtime to carry out "sewing and repair" operations, and go all out to provide safe and high-quality vehicles for the summer railway freight transportation. The continuous high temperature weather makes the outdoor temperature often approach 40 degrees Celsius. The interior of the maintenance warehouse is as sultry as a steamer, and people who stay in it for a while are sweating.

"The summer workload is heavy, coupled with high temperature, July, August and September are the seasons that test our welders the most." Welder Zhu Zexun is mainly responsible for "cutting and sewing" the body of the truck, from the bottom of the vehicle less than 1 meter high. His working area is up to the 3-meter-high roof.

"During this period of time, we have to endure the double 'baking' test of the high temperature in the warehouse and the heat source of electric welding sparks at nearly 3000 degrees Celsius every day."

When the welding rod collided with the door panel, sparks burst out in an instant, and arcs flickered.

Before each operation, welder Ling Xiangyang would put on work clothes made of special fabrics to wrap his body tightly, but occasionally the melting sparks would splash, penetrate the work clothes and sting his skin.

In addition, most of the vehicles entering Loudi Station for repairs and repairs are coal transport vehicles. There are many coal residues and ash left in the vehicles. When the wind blows, the inside of the vehicles is full of dust.

"After a shift, the face and mask are all black, and it takes two or three times to wash the face to wash it all. But in order to ensure the high-quality operation of the vehicle, it is nothing to suffer from this." Ling Xiangyang said.

"Master Qiu, come here, there are still a few parts of this car that need to be repaired." After hearing the call of his colleague, Qiu Tiehua immediately brought tools and equipment.

After checking and confirming the repair site, he prepared the materials, picked up the welding torch and skillfully welded it, and soon the iron plate in his hand was integrated with the vehicle door panel, and the seam was tight.

"I used to be a railway freight train inspector. I felt that the welder was highly skilled. I wanted to challenge myself, so I became a monk and transferred to the position of an electric welder." Qiu Tiehua, 52, is the backbone of welding technology in Loudi Station and is engaged in welding work. For 6 years, he is very proud of his "superb" technique.

During the summer transportation, the three welders needed to complete the "sewing and repair" task of more than 20 trucks per shift, and each person had to do thousands of electric welding operations every day.

The sparks and sweat blended again and again, making their work clothes wet and dry, dry and wet, and the white "salt cream" left behind was particularly dazzling.

Between work, they can drink half a bottle of tea in one go, and sometimes eat a piece of watermelon prepared by the team, and then invest in the "sew and repair" of the next car.

Since the summer transportation this year, they have overcome the high temperature "baking" test and completed the "sewing and repairing" operation of 687 damaged trucks and vehicles, providing a solid guarantee for the safety of railway freight.
