China News Service, August 24. According to the website of the Central Meteorological Observatory, Typhoon "Ma'an" will land in Guangdong on the 25th, and there will be strong wind and rain in southern China and southern Yunnan.

The Central Meteorological Observatory continued to issue a yellow typhoon warning.

The center of this year's No. 9 typhoon "Masaan" entered the South China Sea. It is expected that from the afternoon of today (24th) to the 26th, strong winds and rain will occur in parts of southern China and southern Yunnan.

Affected by the cold air going south and the "saddle", in the next three days, the high temperature intensity in South China, Jianghuai, Jianghan and other places will weaken, and some areas will be lifted.

At 8:00 this morning, "Masa" (strong tropical storm level) was located on the sea about 630 kilometers southeast of Yangjiang, Guangdong, with a maximum wind force of level 10 (28 m/s) near the center.

It is expected that the intensity of the "Saddle" will continue to increase, and will land on the coast from Shenzhen to Zhanjiang, Guangdong from the morning to the afternoon of the 25th (25~33 m/s, level 10~12, strong tropical storm level or typhoon level). The intensity gradually diminishes.

Affected by the typhoon, today there will be heavy rain or heavy rain along the coast of southern Guangdong, northeastern Hainan Island, and southern Guangxi, and there will be heavy rain locally; there will be strong winds of magnitude 6 to 8 along the southwestern coast of Taiwan Island, the coast of Guangdong, and the eastern coast of Hainan Island.

The Central Meteorological Observatory continued to issue a yellow typhoon warning this morning.

Tomorrow (25th), there will be heavy to heavy rains and local heavy rains in parts of the coastal areas of southern and eastern Guangxi, central and southern Guangxi, Hainan Island, and eastern Yunnan.

On the 26th, there were moderate to heavy rains and local heavy rains in western and southern Guangxi, central and southern Yunnan and other places.

In addition, today and tomorrow, there will be more precipitation in the northern region.

There will be moderate to heavy rain and local heavy rain in eastern Qinghai, central and eastern Gansu, southern Ningxia, central and southern Shaanxi, southern Shanxi, and western Henan. Locally there will be thunderstorms, strong winds or hail.

In terms of temperature, due to the reduction in the range and intensity of high temperature in the southern region, the Central Meteorological Observatory lowered the high temperature red warning to orange yesterday afternoon.

It is expected that in the next three days, there will still be high temperature weather in eastern Sichuan, Chongqing, Hunan, Jiangxi, southern Zhejiang, Fujian and other places, with the highest temperature reaching above 40°C in some areas; high temperature weather in southern Shaanxi, most of Hubei, Guangdong, Guangxi and other places will gradually weaken or lift.

The Central Meteorological Observatory continued to issue an orange high temperature warning this morning.

Meteorological experts reminded that the typhoon "Masa" has the characteristics of asymmetric distribution of wind and rain, that is, strong winds will appear on the east side of the typhoon center, and heavy precipitation will appear on the west side of the typhoon center; and the "Masaan" may rapidly strengthen before landing.

The public in the affected areas are requested to be vigilant, do not take it lightly due to the weak rain, and try to avoid going out during the typhoon-affected period.
