[Explanation] On August 23, the "Freezing Time - World Amber Treasures Exhibition" hosted by the Shanxi Museum was launched. The exhibition brought together 439 insect amber from Asia, Europe and the Americas. Show to the world.

The highlight of the exhibition is a specimen of wormwood found in Myanmar.

Hu's Kuafu lacewing, an extinct species that existed in the late Cretaceous period 136 million years ago, has now reappeared in the image of amber.

The insect contained in it was found to be a new species and genus of insects after research by paleontologists in my country, so its scientific research value is very high, and related research articles are also published in the world. Very authoritative In natural science journals, it can be said that it has added a new monument to the research of China's paleontology, which is mainly of scientific significance.

[Explanation] In addition, amber with different shapes has its own characteristics.

The moment when the flame flower blooms, the moment when the ancient creatures hunt, the moment when the two cicadas mate, the moment when the plankton is flying, the moment when the cockroach lays eggs... These moments are all fixed in the amber formed by hundreds of millions of years of geological action.

The exhibition mainly introduces the formation, classification and distribution of amber, as well as the development of history and culture. The focus is on the rich and diverse creatures in amber.

The mating moment of the bug is very short, and it must be very rare to wrap it at that point.

Including the hunter, the moment it catches the prey, the resin just drips to wrap it up. This moment is very rare and very rare.

[Explanation] Amber is the resin of plants such as conifers, firaceae, and legumes from the Mesozoic Cretaceous to the Cenozoic Tertiary. It is buried underground and formed after hundreds of millions of years of geological and biological and chemical effects such as sedimentation and transportation. resin fossils.

A small piece of amber is a microcosm of the earth's creatures and environment hundreds of millions of years ago.

Amber itself has a very shiny luster, and it is a very rare organic gem, especially because it contains some ancient small creatures, which can present us very intuitively the biodiversity of ancient times, including the ecological environment at that time, with very important scientific value.

And the creatures contained in amber are very beautiful and have high appreciation value.
