After finishing the European training, the Chinese men's basketball team set off on August 21, local time, to Kazakhstan, the fourth window of the World Preliminaries.

Head coach Du Feng revealed on August 23 that although many players are currently injured, the overall mental state of the team is gradually improving.

At present, the 2023 Men's Basketball World Cup Asian Region qualifiers have entered the second stage. The Chinese men's basketball team's opponents in this stage include Kazakhstan, Iran and Bahrain.

According to the schedule, in the two games in the fourth window period, the Chinese men's basketball team will face Kazakhstan and Bahrain on the 25th and 29th, Beijing time, respectively.

During the last window of the World Preliminaries and the Asian Cup, the Chinese men's basketball team experienced a difficult time. Some people in the team became unwell, and many people tested positive for nucleic acid, which eventually led to the poor results in the Asian Cup.

Zhou Qi once revealed that for a period of time after the World Preliminaries, he had been having a fever and was lying in bed most of the time. His physical and mental state was very low, and he basically did not touch the ball.

During the European training, the Chinese men's basketball team played many teaching games.

"Each opponent's level is different, but I think in this process, everyone's concentration has become better and better, and the recovery of the body is also developing in a good direction. After all, all players have recovered from a serious illness. They've lost a lot of pounds."

Fortunately, Du Feng said that after this period of recovery and adjustment, the overall state of the team has improved, and the external training has basically achieved its initial goal.
