Walking into Longxian Village, Qingtian County, Zhejiang Province, I saw a national flag and a Chinese national flag stuck in front of each door of each house. The name of the person, the country of residence, the time of going abroad, the industry they are engaged in, etc.

In Longxian Village, which has the title of "United Nations Village", "every family has overseas Chinese, and every household has overseas Chinese relatives".

The overseas Chinese in the village are distributed in more than 30 countries and regions around the world.

In 2012, Longxian Village opened the first village-level foreign currency exchange point in China, with an annual exchange volume of up to 10 million euros.

Villager Uncle Wu told a reporter from China News Agency that because there are overseas Chinese in every household, there are a lot of foreign currencies.

In the past, they could only go to Qingtian County to exchange money, and it was very inconvenient for the elderly to go there for one day.

After the opening of the village-level foreign currency exchange point, it was realized that the villagers could not go through the village and the overseas Chinese could not return to the country.

There are 330,000 overseas Chinese in Qingtian County. Countless Qingtian people have gone out from the mountain city, and now many Qingtian overseas Chinese have returned to their hometowns.

"Chinese people pay attention to returning leaves to their roots. When I am old, I want to come back when I see the rapid development of my hometown." Wu Liqun, the current party branch secretary and director of the village committee of Longxian Village, is a returned overseas Chinese from Spain. After returning to China in 2017, he devoted himself to the construction of his hometown.

In the past few years as the "head of the family" in Longxian Village, Wu Liqun started from the appearance of the village, and launched garbage classification, public toilet revolution, environmental improvement, etc., and the quality of various landscapes in the village has been significantly improved.

The environment is beautiful and tourists come one after another.

The farmhouses, homestays and exhibition halls in Longxian Village are developing in full swing.

Wu Yongqiang, a 50-year-old villager this year, opened his first homestay in the village in 2019, "Half Mu Yusu".

Walking into the homestay, you will see a coffee machine and red wine and coffee beans on the counter.

"I used to work in the hotel industry in Guizhou for 20 years, and my brothers and sisters were all abroad. In the past few years, seeing more and more tourists in my hometown, I was determined to return to my hometown to develop." Wu Yongqiang calculated an account with the reporter. The annual net income of B&Bs and farmhouses in the village is 350,000 yuan (RMB, the same below). "I also hired 3 villagers to help everyone get rich together."

In order to better promote the integration of agriculture and tourism, since 2019, Longxian Village has attracted overseas Chinese and investment, promoted the implementation of agricultural heritage research projects, and launched 14 exhibition halls, including the Farming Exhibition Hall, the Rural Water Conservancy Museum, the Overseas Chinese Currency Museum, and the Ticket Times Exhibition Hall.

The overseas Chinese in the village have taken out idle housing and provided more than a dozen sites for free to build various cultural centers and exhibition halls.

Rural tourism not only requires tourists to eat well, play well, and rest well, but also let tourists return with a full reward when they leave.

Longxian Village offers souvenirs such as field fish, dried field fish, rice, fish and rice, and alpine green tea in a timely manner.

The village established the Red Alliance of Rice and Fish Co-production Industry for this purpose.

At the Wuji Rice Square service point, the village packs and puts the rice of farmers on the shelves uniformly, and provides a 24-hour unmanned sales service of rice, fish and rice. As long as tourists are interested, they can take it away by scanning the QR code and paying directly.

"During the peak season, we can help farmers sell 10,000 catties of rice a week. Last year, the Rice-Fish Symbiosis Red Industry Alliance helped more than 80 farmers increase their income by more than 2 million yuan," said Wu Liqun.

With the support of the industry, the villagers' wallets are bulging.

"We don't have to worry about selling our rice, fish, rice, and dried fish now." The villager Wu Lizhen and his wife relied on farming fish, making dried fish, and opening farmhouses. In a few years, they built a small western-style building, drove a car, and are still in the county seat. When I bought a house, my annual income was more than 1 million yuan.

This year, as the first batch of future village pilot villages in Zhejiang Province, Longxian Village's ecological digital tourism public toilet, AI interactive large screen, intelligent guide signage, agricultural legacy Longxian panoramic map, electronic tour guide system and other facilities have been put into use. The picture is slowly shining into reality, and the story of mutual wealth in this overseas Chinese village is continuing.
