How did I get here ?

This confusing frame for viewers came after a grueling journey by boat and on foot in shallow waters infested with crocodiles, near the island of Borneo in Indonesia.

When I reached this huge tree, I waited for the monkey nicknamed “Orangutan” to climb and precede me to take a picture of him against the sky, but he only looks up during his climb!

So there's only one way to get a picture... to stay on top of it and take a picture of it with the sky reflecting off the stagnant water below.

The hardest part was keeping quiet while he looked at me.

For months, the volcanic eruption at Fagradalsfjall in Iceland has been a constant display of bubbling red lava steadily erupting from the ground.

But later the volcano was silent for several weeks, suddenly I found a red strip of lava flowing down the hill into the valley, the molten rock gushing like glowing red water.

It is an amazing plastic moment of nature that never ceases to amaze us.
