I am sure that the terrorist attack against the young lady changed the attitude towards the conflict among the mass of Russian people, made it more personal - this now concerns everyone, as if a person close to us was taken away - and, most importantly, showed the authorities what they knew about, but that's all refused to believe until the very end.
Yes, we are dealing not just with cannibals, thugs (from the very beginning of the conflict, I compared the Armed Forces of Ukraine with ISIS *), but with those who directly and specifically targeted Russian children.
Recall that even Poroshenko in Odessa in 2014 shouted about the fate of his Russian-speaking fellow citizens from Donbass: “Our children will go to school and kindergartens, and their (Donbass) children will sit in basements.”
