Regarding a man in his 80s in Saitama City who died after being infected with the new coronavirus, the prefecture and the city had different perceptions on whether hospitalization was necessary, said Governor Ohno of Saitama Prefecture. He explained the prefecture's response that there was no such thing, and indicated his intention to work closely with Saitama City and others.

Saitama City announced on the 16th of this month that a man in his 80s infected with the new corona died during hospitalization.

However, the prefecture, which is in charge of coordinating hospitalization, denied that hospitalization had been coordinated because multiple doctors at the hospitalization coordination headquarters judged that there was no need for coordination. He thought that the adjustment was difficult, and that it was a difference in recognition.

Regarding this, Governor Ono said at a press conference on the 23rd, ``Regarding the hospitalization adjustment that the prefecture is responsible for, if there is any part that is different from the facts, it is responsible for providing accurate information, and this time it was not being adjusted. He explained the prefecture's position.

After that, he said, ``If coordination or communication is necessary between local governments, we should always take all possible measures, and we will continue to work closely with other local governments, not just Saitama City.''

On the other hand, Saitama City also said, "Since there were some inadequate exchanges with the prefecture, we would like to keep in close contact in the future."
