“The appearance of haze and the smell of burning in the capital, associated with adverse weather conditions and forest fires in the Ryazan and Vladimir regions, accompanied by an unpleasant odor, do not pose a danger to the health of city residents,” the ministry said in a statement.

It is noted that on August 23, an extraordinary sampling of atmospheric air was carried out in Moscow.

The mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, noted that the smog in Moscow will decrease as the fires in the Ryazan region are extinguished.
