Expression of an exhausted population, hundreds of people demonstrated yesterday, in Port-au-Prince, Les Cayes, Jacmel, Nippes, but also in Gonaïves, to denounce insecurity, inflation, the depreciation of currency and fuel shortages.

But among the slogans also yesterday, the call for the resignation of the head of government, Ariel Henry, held responsible for the deterioration of the current situation.

A demonstrator was shot dead when the Haitian National Police violently dispersed in Delmas 38, in the capital's metropolitan area.

While the population was in the streets, the central bank of Haiti announced a set of measures aimed at curbing the discount of the gourde against the US dollar, including the injection of 150 million on the foreign exchange market.

United States: Jaws in Florida?

This summer and like every year in the United States, shark attacks on the Florida coast regularly make the front page of local newspapers.

If the number of incidents stagnates around forty per year in the country, global warming could multiply the opportunities for interactions between humans and animals.

The warming of the waters disrupts the migration corridors of sharks, but also their eating habits.

However, specialists point out that humans are not among the prey of sharks, despite the images conveyed by popular culture.

Dogs, bears and alligators cause far more deaths and injuries each year in the United States.
