According to the Haikou Public Transport Group, at about 3:50 pm that day, the Qiong A76863 bus on the No. 17 route of the Haikou Public Transport Group was operating normally. When it was driving to the bus stop of Haikou West Bus Station, when the bus driver noticed that the instrument panel was abnormal, he immediately got off the bus to check. Found smoke from the battery at the rear of the vehicle, the bus driver immediately opened the door to evacuate the passengers (there were 4 passengers in the vehicle), and urgently dialed 119 to call the police.
Due to the high-voltage battery fire, the fire was thick and thick smoke billowed, and the vehicle was quickly burned.
Firefighters then arrived to bring the fire under control and put it out.
At present, the cause of the fire is under investigation.
