In a step aimed at developing and refining the writing abilities of the affiliates by providing them with the correct writing methods and tools, and encouraging them to excel and be creative, the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation is completing the first phase of the Dubai International Writing Program’s workshops, which include “Emirates Tomorrow”. and "Dubai of the Future".

The workshops come as a continuation of the efforts made by the Foundation through the Dubai International Writing Program in order to enrich the Arab knowledge and linguistic output, and to produce generations of young writers who are able to provide distinguished and creative literary output, by providing them with tools that help them achieve qualitative achievements in the field of writing.

The first workshop entitled "The Emirates Tomorrow The Emirates After Fifty Years" included training a number of young writers on the correct methodologies in writing children's stories, introducing them to this type of literature and its elements, and how to build texts with complete elements, in addition to how to formulate the idea and its relevance to the child's world.

The workshop, which was supervised by the trainer Ray Abdel-Aal, is a group work and an intense brainstorming activity with the affiliates.

The workshop also aimed to build texts that would take readers on an imaginary journey into the future of the UAE.

Trainer Ray Abdel Aal stressed the importance of this workshop in enhancing the writing abilities of the affiliates by introducing them to the appropriate methods and ways of writing, as well as enabling them to build integrated literary texts, praising the pioneering role played by the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation in developing the skills of young generations in the field of writing. and enhance their writing abilities to be creative writers in the future.

Abdel-Aal added that the "Dubai Future - Writing for Young People" workshop, which is supervised by coach Islam Abushakir, revolves around training in writing a long story directed to young people, with the aim of depicting the reality of Dubai, and drawing the features of its future scene in various fields and the changes that it will witness over the next 50 years. .

This workshop is being implemented in two levels, the first includes periodic meetings in person and virtual, and the second level revolves around daily communication and interaction through digital means of communication dedicated to this purpose.

For his part, Abushakir indicated that the workshop will focus on anticipating the future of Dubai, with the need to read the present of the emirate, by writing a long story on this topic, which includes highlighting the human side in leading any development, as well as portraying the national character with its Ambitions and aspirations for a prosperous future for the emirate, where all ideas will be embodied through characters and events that comply with the general conditions of the art of the novel, noting in the context of the novel that the future of Dubai will be based on a solid foundation, which is its present.

Abushakir praised the efforts of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation in providing the appropriate climate to promote intellectual and cognitive excellence among young people by providing opportunities for them to make a qualitative leap in their skills in the fields of writing, and allowing them to realize their ambitions as creative writers and authors.
