Dead and injured in a horrific run-over accident in Turkey

At least 16 people were killed Saturday and about 29 others were injured after they were hit by a passenger bus whose brakes failed near the southern Turkish city of Gaziantep.


Turkish Health Minister Fahrettin Koca announced Saturday that at least 16 people were killed and 29 injured in an accident in a city in southeastern Turkey.

"Sixteen people were killed and 29 others were injured, including 8 in critical condition, in an accident that occurred after the brakes of a truck that ran over a crowd in Derik failed," the government official said on Twitter.
