The American actor, Alec Baldwin, expected that no charges would be brought against anyone in the case of the killing of the director of filming for the Western movie “Rust” with a gunshot wound from a pistol he was carrying, and he said, “He used the services of a special investigation to determine the responsibilities in what happened.”

The incident occurred on October 21 last year on a farm in Santa Fe, the capital of New Mexico, when Alec Baldwin was using a weapon presented to him as loaded with chelated bullets, while rehearsing a scene with director of photography Helena Hutchins.

However, live ammunition was fired from the pistol, killing 42-year-old Hutchins, and wounding director Joel Sousa.

The investigation is still ongoing, and prosecutors have not ruled out bringing charges against people who may be found responsible.

"I honestly think that the investigators would consider it an accident," Baldwin told CNN in a rare interview on the subject that aired Friday.

It is tragic.”

Although Baldwin confirmed that he did not want to "convict" the person responsible for the guns on set, he did point out her responsibility, and also mentioned assistant director, Dave Holz, who handed him the gun.

"Someone put a real bullet in the gun, and he was supposed to be able to distinguish," he said.
