Regarding the new corona countermeasures, the Japan Medical Association has requested the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare to prioritize the supply of antigen test kits whose online sales have been lifted to medical institutions.

Japan Medical Association President Matsumoto visited the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare on the evening of the 19th and had a meeting with Minister of Health, Labor and Welfare Kato.

Chairman Matsumoto said that antigen test kits, for which the ban on online sales has been lifted, should be given priority to medical institutions, and that the number of items to be entered into the national system called HER-SYS, which registers patient information, should be reduced. Following on from this, we requested further improvements in work efficiency.

On the other hand, he pointed out that when reviewing the total number of infected people, it should be possible to grasp the condition of the seriously ill.

Afterwards, Chairman Matsumoto told reporters, "I think Minister Kato took it seriously. The review of the 100% grasp is aimed at inheriting the current system and reducing the burden on medical institutions. We have to strike a balance,” he said.
