Among the abductees who returned from North Korea, Hitomi Soga, whose whereabouts of her mother, who was abducted with her from North Korea, is unknown, gathered signatures in her hometown of Sado City, Niigata Prefecture. He appealed for the rescue and the early return of all the victims.

In 1978, Hitomi Soga was abducted by North Korea along with her mother, Miyoshi, from Sado City, Niigata Prefecture.

On the 19th, 44 years after the abduction, Mr. Soga conducted a signature campaign in Sado City asking for the rescue of the victims, and many people stopped and responded.

In response to an interview, Mr. Soga said, "It's been 20 years since I returned to Japan, but I haven't been able to see my beloved mother even once, and I feel very angry that I haven't made any progress. I would like you to realize a top-level meeting with North Korea and make efforts so that all the abductees can return home as soon as possible."

Also, regarding her mother Miyoshi, who will celebrate her 91st birthday in December, "It's been a long time, and I'm trying hard to find my mother in the memories I can't remember even if I want to. I feel really painful. I'm full," he said in his heart.
