Whether you are a cicada or an ant, laziness will be seen as an art of living or, on the contrary, as a calamity.

It can be physical, mental or spiritual.

For its detractors, crass laziness has a hair in its hand and fingers in its nose.

The lazy person takes it easy, procrastinates, shovels the clouds and above all, harms the proper functioning of society.

They claim that "

idleness is the mother of all vices

" and that it leads to bad thoughts.

This is why in the 5th century, Saint-Jérôme already advises to “

live in such a way that the devil always finds you busy

”.

Its advocates see laziness as a philosophy of life.

They elevate procrastination, languor and idleness to the rank of index of civilization.

Some of them even consider work as a form of degrading servitude, and inaction as a noble and militant gesture.
