After the controversies of the past due to cosmetic adjustments that would have transformed her face to make it almost unrecognizable at times, Renée Zellweger, 53, amazes with a more than unexpected statement:

"Anti-aging products are rubbish."

This is how the Texan star, born on April 25, 1969, has stated in an interview with 'The Sunday Times': "All those ads for anti-aging beauty products are there to convince us that we should hide our true age."

And she adds: "Basically they are telling me that

I am not worthy anymore because I am 53 years old."

These latest statements are in line with what the protagonist of the unforgettable 'Bridget Jones' recently said about her transition to the 50s: "I don't feel anxious about turning back the hands of the clock. Turning 50 coincided with the beginning of a new stage in my life, in which I no longer have to measure myself against the expectations of others and

I can finally be myself, in an authentic way".

Renée Zellweger insists on finding the sweet spot regarding the relationship with the image of oneself: "To be truly fascinating and radiant, you must embrace your true age. Otherwise you convey a

sense of guilt

that has nothing to do with beauty ".
