It brings back “a lot of memories”, and not always very good ones.

In the Today program, of which The Wrap reports excerpts, Priscilla Presley evoked the emotion procured by the film

, by Baz Luhrmann.

She also returned to the very tense relationship between the King and his impresario.

Their disagreement centered on the choice of films.

While Elvis Presley “wanted to make films, serious films”, Parker led him towards the commercial.

“I lived the fights they had, I lived Elvis trying to explain that he didn't want to do the movies with all the girls and the beaches and everything, that he really wanted to do things serious.

For her, Parker "didn't take Elvis where he wanted to be."

Despite everything, Elvis and Priscilla Presley wanted to see the good side of Colonel Parker, “the very soft side when he was not working”.

Delighted

Priscilla Presley admitted that she had been concerned about what Baz Luhrmann wanted to do when she first heard about the project.

"I was a little worried at first when I heard Baz was going to do the movie," she said.

In fact, I met him;

I invited him to my house [and] we spent about four hours together.

He put me a little at ease, but I still didn't know how it was going to be.

But the result was a good surprise and Priscilla Presley came out delighted with the private screening of the film.

“Wow, it's Elvis, really!
