It is to be credited by the United Nations that it has designated August 19 as a day to celebrate humanitarian work to recognize the efforts of humanitarian workers, and those who have lost their lives due to humanitarian aid, because of the urge to do good for the human being who is indispensable to his fellow human being, as the Khaldunian social theory says A civilian, of course.” That is, he lacks others, just as others lack him.

This work, which emerged from a UN organization, is consistent with the approach of Islam and its universal call for cooperation in righteousness and piety, its call to do good, and its call for the benefit of all mankind.

And God, may He be glorified and exalted, commands the believers to do such a good deed that is beneficial to humanity, He says: {O you who believe, kneel down and prostrate yourself and worship your Lord and do good and do good for mankind, because the act of goodness of mankind loves it.} To protect her, everything that is good that can be done for her must be done by those who can, and from here the jurists stipulated that it is obligatory to rescue the drowned, extinguish the fire, relieve the distressed, and satisfy the hungry as a matter of sufficient obligation. I have made this charitable work a global day so that the whole world can feel this humanitarian work, especially with the world’s suffering from various and different turmoil and disasters. Hardly a country is devoid of the need for such humanitarian work.

We, the Muslims, carry out humanitarian actions in fulfillment of the principle of Islam, the tolerant and merciful, and seeking God’s grace and mercy. God Almighty called his servants to hasten to goodness and promised them abundant good deeds in life and after death. Therefore, we call upon Muslims to initiate such actions, each according to his ability, to obtain the reward of his Lord and the praise of people. on him.

The United Arab Emirates was one of the first countries to initiate humanitarian work before the United Nations designated this day in 2009. It not only took an active part in humanitarian work for everyone who needs it in the whole world, but also dedicated an independent day to humanitarian work, and named it after the great man of humanity. Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may his soul rest in peace. Today is the 19th of Ramadan, the anniversary of his death.

year 2004 AD.

This man who left no room for giving and serving humanity but had a long hand in its benefit, which made his name engraved in the memory and minds of different peoples, as many urban cities and service projects bore his name cities, schools, hospitals and dams, as well as the in-kind and relief aid carried out by the Foundation Sheikh Zayed Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, which was established in 1992, the Sheikh Khalifa Humanitarian Foundation, which was established in 2007, the Mohammed bin Rashid Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, which was established in 1997, and other institutions of the ruling sheikhs and philanthropists for humanitarian work, and the Al Maktoum Charity Organization, which was established in 1997 As well as the Emirates Red Crescent, which reaches various countries of the world, especially relief ones in times of adversity and disasters.

The UAE has made the 19th of Ramadan a day of humanitarian action in memory of the man of humanity, Zayed bin Sultan, may God have mercy on him, as one of its government programs, and to inspire the Emirati people to move towards this noble humanitarian work, which has actually been achieved. The general public inside and outside the country is the most general, in addition to the individual work carried out by the benevolent people of the Emirates of different classes and financial statuses.

May Allah help us to do good and accept it from us, Karim.
