Since August 15, there are no longer any French soldiers from the Barkhane force in Mali.
President Emmanuel Macron gave the French army six months on February 17 to disengage from the country.
General Bruno Baratz is the new commander of this operation (Comanfor).
He is in charge of continuing the transformation of the force in the Sahel.
Passing through Niamey, he takes stock of nine years of anti-terrorist struggle in Mali, and details the outlines of the new Barkhane force.
