Lao Rongzhi, who absconded for 23 years, was sentenced to death for three crimes in the first instance

  According to previous news from the Nanchang Intermediate Court, from 1996 to 1999, Lao Rongzhi and Faziying (handled separately) conspired and had a clear division of labor. On September 9, 2021, the Nanchang Intermediate Court publicly pronounced the first instance judgment in the case of Lao Rongzhi.

The defendant, Lao Rongzhi, was convicted of intentional homicide, robbery, and kidnapping, and was sentenced to the death penalty, deprived of his political rights for life, and confiscated all his personal property.

  The court of first instance held that the defendant Lao Rongzhi and others deliberately and illegally deprived the victim of his life, and his behavior constituted the crime of intentional homicide; for the purpose of illegal possession, he robbed the victim's property by violent and threatening means, and his behavior constituted the crime of robbery; Kidnapping a victim for the purpose of extorting property constitutes the crime of kidnapping.

Lao Rongzhi played a major role in the joint crime and was the principal offender, and should be punished according to all the crimes he participated in.

After Lao Rongzhi was brought to justice, he truthfully confessed the fact that he was kidnapped in Changzhou, which was a confession.
