Tochigi Prefecture and Utsunomiya City announced on the 17th that a total of 2,075 people were newly infected with the new coronavirus.
A total of 165,205 people have been confirmed to be infected in the prefecture.
The prefecture also announced six new deaths, bringing the total number of deaths in the prefecture to 358.
