Solange Knowles composes her first ballet

The New York City Ballet has made a big announcement: Solange Knowles is writing an original score for a work by Gianna Reisen.

The ballet does not yet have a title, but will be presented on September 28.

For this event, the composer must write for a chamber music ensemble.
