Acclaimed guitar maker Fender has noticed a huge uptick in learning about Elvis Presley songs on its app, Fender Play, since the release of the Baz Luhrmann biopic.

In a statement, Max Watts, Fender's vice president of marketing, said "the impact of an artist like Elvis is undeniable."

Baz Luhrmann's work, which traces the tumultuous life of the King, has given some amateur guitarists the desire to learn Elvis tunes.
