  In order to improve the transportation mode for stranded passengers returning through the port, the Haikou New Coronavirus Pneumonia Epidemic Prevention and Control Work Command issued a notice on the 12th, clarifying that passengers stranded in cities and counties without epidemics and low-risk areas must stay at the designated centralized health management 3 days in advance.   According to reports, on August 16, the Haikou Municipal Transportation, Port and Shipping Department arranged a total of 6 out-of-the-island ships to transport passengers who meet the conditions for leaving the island in the health management station, and reserved 2 ships as backup capacity.

The first batch of 152 self-driving cars and 870 passengers were transported out of the island that day.

It is planned to transport more than 810 self-driving vehicles and more than 3,100 passengers throughout the day on the 16th.
