People's Artist of Russia Viktor Zozulin dies

“Today, after a long illness, the brilliant Vakhtangovite, People’s Artist of Russia Viktor Viktorovich Zozulin passed away,” the statement said.

It is noted that he worked at the Vakhtangov Theater for more than half a century. 

“The departure of Viktor Zozulin is an irreparable loss for the Vakhtangov Theatre.

We mourn and express our deepest condolences to his family and friends," the press service added.

Earlier it was reported that the artist of the Mariinsky Theater Yuri Marusin died at the age of 77.
