Kuwait stops issuing all entry visas to expatriates

The Ministry of Interior in Kuwait has stopped issuing all types of visit visas for family and tourist arrivals, and joining a family, until further notice.

The Kuwaiti newspaper, "Al-Qabas", quoted informed security sources as saying that "all residency affairs departments in the six governorates received verbal instructions this morning to stop all types of entry visas for expatriates, until new instructions are issued."

The sources explained the justifications for that decision, as “work is underway to amend the mechanism for issuing visitation visas, and new procedures and conditions will be approved.”

She pointed out that the entry visas for Europeans, which are extracted through the (Online) service from the international airport, were excluded.
