Ehime Prefecture announced on the 16th that 2,121 new people were confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus.
On the other hand, one person announced on the 13th of this month was withdrawn, bringing the number of confirmed infections in the prefecture to 101,485.
Two more deaths were also announced, bringing the death toll to 198.
