Based on the novel of the same name by Lee Cheong-jun, it is a work about the many lives of a family of singers.

The musical <Seopyeonje> comes to an end on a 12-year journey.

Producer Lee Ji-na and actress Ja-ram Lee, who are meeting with the audience on the nightline invitation seat and the last <Seopyeonje> stage, were invited.

Q. Directing the musical 'Seopyeonje'...

How do you feel about the last season?

[Lee Ji-na/Director: I am pouring everything right now to the point where I can't remember anything because the feeling is so special.

It's the last time since the contract period for the original has ended, but I'm so desperate for the audience to love this work so much that I want it to come back to life.]

Q. The role of 'Songhwa' from the premiere...

Where does the relationship start?

[Ja Ram / Musical actor/sori singer: I am a person who studies pansori.

So, while I was working hard to learn to worry about pansori, director Lee Ji-na suddenly contacted me.

You are planning a musical Seopyeonje, and I would like you to play the role of Songhwa.

So I was a little worried.

I'm not a musical actor, can I?

Then there are the works that can be done enough and that Ja-Ram Lee is currently working on.

Pansori, its tradition.

Since we are going to make a musical that we can do without damaging them at all, he made a wonderful suggestion to join us, so of course I accepted it.]

Q. Challenge a new genre…

Were there any difficulties?

[Ja Ram / Musical Actor/Singer: Musical songs were too difficult.

I only practice pansori for the rest of my life, but I also have to be good at musical songs.

So, how do I not become a flaw on the stage?

I always stood up thinking about it, and it still is.]

Q. 6 actors for the role of 'Songhwa'...

Any reason for casting?

[Lee Ji-na/Director: There are two reasons.

Friends who haven't played pansori since they were young hurt their necks.

So, the most important goal was to play pansori so that I don't hurt my neck and to give me time to recover for a long time until the next performance if I do get hurt.

And the second reason is that our Seopyeonje is 12 years old, but it hasn't been known to the public until now.

So it's a musical, but a little different, a different fandom.

People like this came to see me, and I thought that I would like this Seopyeonje to be known a little bit more, so I did it for two reasons.]

Q. ‘Songhwa’ in the last season…

What does it look like?

[Lee Ja-ram/Musical actor/singer: I am trying to be a little more courageous.

When it comes to Seopyeonje, many people say that Pansori is Han.

You will remember it this way.

While I raise my doubts about that sentence, pansori is not the only one.

As it is a genre with a very diverse aspect that sublimates all the senses of life and death that humans experience in life, including Han, the song is not only sad, but also courageous and has a lot of accidents. I wanted to draw it.]

Q. Patriarchal values…

Are there any criticisms of the narrative?

[Lee Jina/Director: I think it depends on what you see through the work.

I don't think Lee Cheong-jun wrote this work to portray a patriarchal father either.

This work is the story of a woman who overcame the pain that every human being suffers, and the size of it is different, but restores human dignity and carves her own destiny, and the patriarchal father is written as her tool.

In addition, Seopyeonje is a mix of Western music, Eastern and Korean traditions.

The Korean tradition that Songhwa speaks of and the Western culture that Dongho talks about collided at first, but it contains the process of reconciliation and coexistence.

So, at this point in time when K-culture and K-culture can dominate the world, in fact, because there was such a past, I think that it is the most appropriate time because it shows the journey that our culture has come to here. .]

Q. Do you have any future plans or goals you want to achieve?

[Lee Ji-na/Director: I hope that Korean material will become more popular as a creative musical.

In our

filmography of Ja-Ram Lee, the musical is one of the Seopyeonje, but I thought there should be one more, so I want to work with Mr. Ja-Ram Hye-Kyung-Gung in the next work, a work dealing with the story of Crown Prince Sado.]

Also, please answer the proposal.]

[Ja Ram/Musical actor/sori singer: First of all, my goal is to upload all the remaining musical Seopyeonje well.

And as a musical actor, I will accept this offer with gratitude and will work hard in everything that comes next.]
