The photographer photographed the mother Ai Wease and her eight cubs in the wetland at the headwaters of the Heihe River in Qilian County.
Qilian Mountain is an important ecological security barrier in western China, an important water source and flow area in the Yellow River Basin and Hexi Inland River Basin, with an altitude of 2,800 to 5,827 meters.
