Greed is arguably the most detestable of the seven deadly sins and few come to its defense.

If Harpagon, Scrooge, Picsou and Séraphin constitute fascinating characters of novels, plays or films.

In everyday life, the greedy often pollute the existence of those around them.

The miser also creates his own misfortune because his obsessive love of money ends up depriving him of all other forms of enjoyment.

For his friends: the greedy, the stingy, the cheap, the tight-fisted, the tight-lipped, money stops being a means and becomes an end in itself.
