In order to further improve the return of passengers stranded in Hainan, Haikou Meilan International Airport and Sanya Phoenix International Airport have successively resumed commercial operation of domestic passenger flights.
Haikou Meilan International Airport resumed the normal operation of domestic passenger flights on the 13th. Passengers who meet the relevant conditions can purchase tickets by themselves, and board the plane to leave the island after inspection by the airport.
Chen Jingjin, deputy mayor of Haikou City, said at a press conference that Haikou will speed up the recovery of more routes in the future to allow passengers to return as soon as possible.
The commercial operation of domestic passenger flights at Sanya Phoenix International Airport will resume in an orderly manner on the 15th.
In order to facilitate the travel of passengers who have successfully purchased tickets, Sanya provides free airport shuttle services in the city.
From August 1 to August 13, a total of 7,736 positive infections were reported in this round of epidemic in Hainan Province, including 3,809 confirmed cases and 3,927 asymptomatic infections.
Most of the positive infections are in Sanya.
