At around 10:00 pm on the 13th, a fire broke out from a restaurant on the 3rd floor of a building in Gofukucho, Aoi-ku, Shizuoka City, and part of the 3rd and 2nd floors of the building were burned.



The restaurant's employees and customers were safe, but one person was found dead on the third floor.



According to the Shizuoka City Fire Department, Mr. Masamitsu Yamamoto (37), an assistant fire commander at the Suruga Fire Station who was in charge of the fire fighting, could not be contacted, and it is believed that Mr. Yamamoto died.



The police are rushing to confirm the identity and are investigating the details.



According to the fire department, Mr. Yamamoto entered the building with a hose at 10:50 pm with two firefighters to fight the fire, but about 10 minutes later, immediately after being ordered to leave, he was contacted. It means that it is no longer available.

In response to this fire, Shizuoka Mayor Tanabe held a press conference on the evening of the 14th, saying, "Two years ago, a fire broke out in another place, and an employee died in the line of duty. We take the fact that the accident has occurred very seriously.
