Tochigi Prefecture and Utsunomiya City announced on the 13th that a total of 2,452 people were newly infected with the new coronavirus.
A total of 158,834 people have been confirmed to be infected in the prefecture.
The prefecture also announced five new deaths, bringing the total number of deaths in the prefecture to 338.
