　　The reporter learned from Xicheng District, Beijing that the new building in Fuzhou was established in the 21st year of Jiaqing in the Qing Dynasty (1816) to raise funds and purchase for Lin Zexu during his tenure in Beijing.

During the seven years of Lin Zexu's life in Beijing (1813-1820), he mainly lived in the area south of Xuanwumen (Xuannan), and the new museum in Fuzhou was an important place for his activities.

At this time, it was also an important period for his patriotic sentiment of "going for the life and death of the country, and avoiding it because of blessings and misfortunes".

　　In December 2019, the Beijing Municipal Government completed the renovation and exhibition of the new Fuzhou Museum, and the venue was open to the public to celebrate Lin Zexu's great patriotism and unyielding national integrity, and to encourage the Chinese people to make unremitting efforts to realize the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

　　This time, the Fuzhou new version of Beijing Qu Opera "Lin Zexu in Beijing" was carefully created by the Beijing Qu Opera Troupe under the Beijing Performing Arts Group.

The play tells a historical story of Lin Zexu who was summoned to Beijing at the end of 1838, on the eve of the sale of cigarettes in Humen.

The whole play takes Lin Zexu's servant Lin Yi as the character running through the plot, placing the historical story in the guild hall, guiding the audience to follow the development of the plot, switching between the three scenes of the square, the living room, and the inner house, and changing scenes with each step. The actors become the characters in the play together, and feel Lin Zexu's hardships and pains as well as his family and country feelings.
