Recently, a smart forest fire monitoring and early warning fire drill was held in Dongyang Town, Liuyang City, Hunan Province. After the platform detects the fire, it will automatically alarm, and push the real-time screen, geographic location and other information to the command center and the mobile app of the associated personnel. The forest ranger arrived at the fire point within 5 minutes and controlled the fire, and the forest fire brigade arrived at the scene within 15 minutes and put out the fire.
Dongyang Town is located in the northwest of Liuyang. The town is rich in forest resources, with a total area of 74,000 mu of forest land, 52,000 mu of national, provincial and Changsha ecological public welfare forests, with a forest coverage rate of 48%.
At the beginning of 2022, Dongyang Town will take the lead in building the first smart forest fire monitoring and early warning platform in Hunan Province. It will build and deploy six front-end equipment, covering an area of about 72 square kilometers, and basically achieve full coverage of key forest areas in the town.
