Recently, monitoring personnel from the Horqin National Nature Reserve in Xing'an League, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region found that two oriental white storks settled here and built nests to breed in an artificially induced nest in the Mongoliadian Wetland during their migration.

The Oriental White Stork is a large wading bird and is a national first-class protected wild animal. 20 years ago, it built a nest in the Horqin National Nature Reserve of Xinggan League.

Breeding has been interrupted for more than 20 years due to habitat changes.

With the gradual restoration of wetland ecology in the past two years, more than 10 artificial nests have been built, attracting oriental white storks to nest and breed here.
