On August 11, the Kinopoisk and Okko video services released the mystical comedy series Close Gestalt about a man who, after an accident, begins to see ghosts.

The film was directed by Maxim Pezhemsky, who directed the TV series Interns and Project Anna Nikolaevna.

The script was written by Dmitry Lemeshev ("Alibi", "Contact").

The main role was played by Alexander Ilyin Jr.

The central figure in the series is Fyodor Yartsev, a car dealership manager who leads an unremarkable lifestyle.

Watching non-intelligent vlogs, forgetting to buy his wife an anniversary gift, and turning down a promotion to get better deals.

The hero does not worry about the future and does not want to change anything in life - for ten years his wife has been waiting for them to buy a house and plan children, but Fedya does not care.

Once, during a quarrel with his wife, he accidentally falls out of the apartment window.

For a while, his soul leaves the body, but then returns.

Fedor miraculously survives, and at the same time acquires a new gift - to see those who have already died.

Ghosts are drawn to Yartsev like a magnet, because he is the only way to close the gestalt that does not allow them to go to rest.

Each series is dedicated to a specific situation in which the hero willy-nilly finds himself.

The ironic plot of the series is deeper than it might seem at first glance.

In a rather casual way, the filmmakers give the viewer grounds for reflection on topics such as family relationships, childhood psychological trauma, the problem of "fathers and children."

The project also studies attitudes towards religion, sinfulness, and corruption.

A second chance for life was given to Yartsev for a reason, and it seems that he needs the mission of a medium more than the ghosts need his help, since everyone he meets changes him in his own way, gives him the opportunity to realize something, correct himself and become more courageous.

The ghosts, as if by choice, are all characteristic: the first to come to him is his mother-in-law (Julia Aug), with whom Fyodor had a strained relationship.

He also meets his father Konstantin at a young age (Denis Vlasenko), who died 30 years ago - he now intends to catch up on raising his son, and the bandit Motya from the 1990s (Fyodor Lavrov), who proves that the love of loved ones is a great power .

In some scenes, Kostya and Motya on either side of the protagonist prompt him and teach him what they know - they look like an angel and a demon on their shoulders, each of which is trying to take the reins of control over the mind and conscience of the hero into their own hands.

Only in this story, the angel and the demon can come to an agreement, which proves the lack of generally accepted value judgments in the series - there are no clear concepts of "good" or "bad".

Someone becomes wiser and realizes his mistakes, while someone stands in the same place and does not change from year to year.

The authors of the tape also convey to the viewer the idea that it is necessary to cherish those who are nearby: at the right time to give up pride in order to admit guilt and resolve the conflict, do not forget to talk about your feelings and emotions, because then it may be too late.

All these serious life questions are served under the sauce of comedy.

It is very difficult not to laugh at the sight of the main character talking to ghosts in public places, the expected reaction of people around is especially funny - a perplexed, slightly frightened look.

Despite the fact that there were already a huge number of such scenes in the cinema, they do not bother and always encourage you to smile or even laugh out loud.

Also, the viewer can be pleasantly surprised by the caustic, sarcastic jokes of the characters, especially Fedor, who, for example, at the sight of the ghost of his mother-in-law, asked: “What, they don’t take them to hell either?”

In general, the series is light in content, despite the theme of death.

After watching the comedy in combination with the drama, it will certainly evoke a variety of emotions in the audience, but there will definitely not be a feeling of psychological workload among them - rather, a pleasant aftertaste and a charge of positive mood will remain.
