The reporter learned from the press conference on the prevention and control of the new crown pneumonia epidemic in the Tibet Autonomous Region held on the morning of August 9 that Lhasa and Shigatse are currently carrying out the first round of regional nucleic acid testing for all employees, and the second round of nucleic acid testing will be carried out tomorrow. The third round of regional nucleic acid testing for all employees has been carried out in Pulan County, Gar County, and Zanda County in the Ali area, and the first round of nucleic acid testing is being carried out in the remaining counties.
Up to now, 601 close and sub-close contacts have been investigated, all of which have been quarantined and controlled.
Tibet has built three makeshift hospitals in Lhasa, Shigatse, and Qamdo City, with 4,004 reserved beds, mainly for asymptomatic infections and mild cases.
At the same time, there are 7 designated hospitals in the region, which mainly treat critically ill patients with underlying diseases and elderly patients.
