Jumeirah

Ryo Minamisa ■ Japan /

Mollusca Gastropoda larvae family encountered at night near Komi Island - Okinawa in Japan. It is very small, the highest thickness of the oyster in the middle is only 3 mm, and its total diameter is about 20 mm.

There are swimming membranes around it, one of which is called 'phyllum', and it is lined with cilia.

It is a cautious creature, and even if it feels a slight splash of water, it hides in its shell.

The title of the image came from the similarity with the Palm Jumeirah, one of the picturesque landscapes in the UAE.

Storm "Janet"

A bird endemic to the north of the British island, the Gannet gannet, swims in an artistic shower of bubbles caused by diving seabirds.

When hunting mode is activated, yellow eyes filled with blue circles are put on alert, then comb the seawater for prey.

Its long wings and streamlined bodies make it easy for it to fly.

When the fish is spotted, it puts itself in the wind and extends its wings as brakes to precisely adjust its position relative to its prey.

The speed of these amazing birds hitting the water reaches 100 kilometers per hour, slashing the surface of the water like a live torpedo, absorbing the huge blow through their strong skull and protective airbags in the head and chest.

The sound of her penetrating the surface of the water was loud.

I wanted to create a new photo of these seabirds, so I tried to capture their movement in slow exposure.

Its high speed caused many failures, but what was important to me was to maintain strong eye contact with the bird's eye.
