The former US president denounces "political persecution", after the FBI searches at Mar-a-Lago, his Florida residence.

According to American media, the intervention of agents of the "Bureau" is linked to an investigation into Donald Trump's mishandling of classified documents.

A hundred pro-Trump activists sang, shouted, unfurled banners all night long in front of Mar-a-Lago, in Palm Beach (Florida).

They ran when they learned of these FBI searches.

In a press release, the former president denounces an attack by "the radical left" which, according to him, would like to prevent him from representing himself in 2024. American media say that FBI agents were looking for classified documents: already, in February 2022, the National Archives had recovered fifteen boxes of documents that the billionaire had taken with him when he left the White House.

In these boxes, there were letters from Barack Obama and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and “secret-defense” documents.

Donald Trump should have given these documents to the National Archives and not taken them home:

Haiti: the international community responsible for the political crisis, according to the OAS

The Organization of American States publishes a press release in which it points out the responsibility of the international community in the Haitian crisis.

“

Under the umbrella of the international community, the criminal gangs that today besiege the country and its people have fermented and germinated

,” writes the organisation's secretary general, Luis Almagro.

In addition to a political crisis, the country is in the grip of a serious food crisis.

In Jacmel, Gina Lafontant met residents who are struggling to meet their needs: “

Products have become so expensive lately… in the past, a can of oil cost 100 gores, now it's 250 gourdes…

".

According to the Bank of the Republic of Haiti, the cumulative monthly inflation rate reached 16.2% between October 2021 and April 2022.

Mexico: freedom of the press hampered

Twelve journalists have been murdered since the beginning of the year in Mexico.

Informing, in the country, is very dangerous, especially when it comes to subjects relating to drug trafficking or corruption.

In almost all cases, the perpetrators of these crimes are not arrested.

Our correspondent met two professionals in the sector, in Tijuana.

They continue their job despite the many threats and intimidation they receive.
