Four people were killed for an unbelievable reason

After a two-day manhunt for a suspect in the fatal shootings of four people in two Ohio homes, the accused, Stephen Marlowe, was arrested.

An apparently conspiracy theorist, Marlowe murdered his four victims after suspecting he was the victim of a "mind control" operation.

Marlowe, 39, was arrested in Lawrence, Kansas, last Saturday.

The arrest came one day after Marlowe murdered his victims Clyde Knox, 82, his wife Eva, 78, in one home, Sarah Anderson, 41, and her daughter, Kayla Anderson, a 15-year-old high school student. .

"This is the first violent crime in this neighborhood in recent memory," Butler Police Chief John Porter said, according to MSN.

"We are working to determine whether there was any motive for this horrific tragedy or whether mental illness played any role."

Porter said he was aware of a TikTok video in which Marlowe appeared to provide his explanation for the killings, identified himself as a "targeted individual" and claimed he was a victim of his mind control.

In the video, Marlowe said he was planning a "counter-attack."

In the video, Marlowe said that he was targeted by his victims with "esoteric speech" that aimed to control his mind.

Marlowe used a phrase popular in the “community of online people with paranoid delusions” of “targeted individuals” to refer to himself within this group obsessed with targeting in various ways, ranging from magic to using implants or sound waves to torture them.

The police eventually extradited Marlowe to Ohio to face charges, and the news made no mention of Marlowe's mental state.
