A Saudi academic died while trying to save his son from drowning in Jeddah.

According to "Okaz" newspaper, Dr. Hussein Muhammad al-Habashi, a faculty member at the College of Judicial Studies and Regulations at Umm Al-Qura University, was on a trip with his family during the accident, and he saw his son fighting death by drowning in the sea to jump to save him and succeeded in that, but he failed to get out, as The waves swept him to the depths to catch his breath by drowning.


 The College of Judicial Studies and Regulations mourned the late Dr. Al-Habashi, and said: “With hearts satisfied with God’s decree and destiny, the College of Judicial Studies and Regulations extends its condolences and sympathy to the deceased of the department, His Eminence Dr. Hussein bin Muhammad Al-Habashi, who passed away by drowning.”

The college clarified in a press release that Al-Habashi, the assistant professor of jurisprudence at the Judicial Studies Department at Umm Al-Qura University, died on Saturday, and he was known for his education and advice to his students and his dedication and selflessness in his work.
