According to the statistics of the Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, in 2021, the number of Shanghai art museums will reach 96, a record high, ranking first among cities in the country, and achieving full coverage of 16 districts.
Among them, there are 25 state-owned art galleries and 71 non-state-owned art galleries, a net increase of 7 art galleries compared with 2020.

The "Report" stated that in the future, Shanghai will build a people-centered field of high-quality artistic creation and popularization of aesthetic education.
