【Listen to the doctor's story】

Xu Runsan, a master of traditional Chinese medicine, the chief physician of the China-Japan Friendship Hospital, has been in medicine for more than 70 years. The organically combined treatment plan of the disease has formed a set of effective Chinese medicine diagnosis and treatment standards, which fills the gap in the treatment and treatment of fallopian tube obstruction in Chinese medicine; thousands of infertility patients have been cured at home and abroad; He is a clinical expert, scientific research backbone and teaching talent in the field of traditional Chinese medicine and gynecology; he has edited or participated in the editing of more than 20 academic monographs such as "Traditional Chinese Medicine Obstetrics and Gynecology" and "Traditional Chinese Medicine Syndrome Differential Diagnosis".

Treating infertility is not just for infertile women, but for whole families who are hungry for new life.

Xu veteran Qihuang Chunnuan was delivered to thousands of households, and his kindness and kindness won the respect of patients. In the corridors and in the consultation room, "Grandpa Xu" could not be heard.

Chinese medicine and I are destined to be a lifetime fate!

In the 1930s, in Funing County, Yancheng, Jiangsu, there was chaos and chaos. At that time, I was in my 10s.

In order to avoid the raids by the Japanese soldiers, I fled into the ditch. Originally weak, I contracted pustules and was in a coma for two days and two nights.

With a glimmer of hope, my family invited Cui Shengsan, a famous doctor from Jiangsu, to treat me.

After taking a dose of Chinese medicine, my parents said that I woke up soon after, and after taking Chinese medicine, I never got sick again.

This life-saving experience made me develop an indissoluble bond with Chinese medicine.

With the persuasion of my family, I made up my mind to become a doctor and took Cui Xingsan as my teacher.

The life of an apprentice is very hard. In addition to taking care of the food and daily life of the master's family, he can only use the teacher to learn and record pulse cases during the day, and try to figure out the pulse cases at night. Usually, he takes time to study many of the teachers' family TCM collections.

Witnessing the process of the teacher's treatment of the disease, I deeply felt the magic of Chinese medicine.

After 4 years of apprenticeship, I left the teacher for independent diagnosis.

At the beginning of practicing medicine, I used the teacher’s pulse record to diagnose the disease every day, and after seeing the evidence, I asked the case to prescribe medicine. Gradually have a more complete understanding of the disease.

Among them, two cases that had been deemed hopeless by other doctors were successfully treated, which further strengthened my determination to love Chinese medicine and dedicate myself to the cause of Chinese medicine.

Later, I came to teach at Beijing College of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

At that time, the faculty of the college was insufficient, and the clinical and teaching tasks were heavy. I had taught many courses such as basics, diagnosis, and internal medicine, and on-site teaching had to be taken into account in all departments of internal medicine, surgery, gynecology, and pediatrics.

In 1984, I was transferred to the China-Japan Friendship Hospital as the director of the Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Gynecology.

Chinese medicine treatment of tubal obstruction is not easy.

At that time, there was no disease name for tubal obstruction in traditional Chinese medicine, and there was no specific treatment for tubal obstruction, which was nerve-racking.

How to use Chinese medicine thinking to treat diseases under the concept of modern medicine?

In my daily diagnosis and treatment, I found that many women suffered from both physical and mental torment due to infertility, so I focused my research on infertility caused by tubal obstruction due to the lack of good treatment methods in Western medicine and obvious advantages in Chinese medicine treatment. superior.

However, in the traditional Chinese medicine literature, there has never been a disease name related to fallopian tube obstruction.

According to the diagnosis of its pathological manifestations and clinical signs by modern medicine, I believe that this disease is very similar to the "Qi stagnation and blood stasis" in traditional Chinese medicine. Using the traditional Chinese medicine syndrome differentiation and local tubal disease differentiation treatment ideas, in Zhang Zhongjing's classic prescription On the basis of "Sini San", the medicines for dredging collaterals are added, supplemented by methods such as regulating qi and promoting blood circulation, unblocking qi, removing blood stasis and dredging collaterals, etc. to treat tubal obstruction, and the cure rate can reach 80%.

In 1999, during my academic exchange in the United States, I met a 36-year-old woman who suffered from infertility for many years. She spent nearly $90,000 for 8 IVF procedures, but she failed.

At that time, her trustee wanted to see me for a face-to-face consultation. In line with the idea of "being optimistic about a case of infertility is equivalent to saving a small family", I specially set aside time to diagnose and treat this patient during the intensive itinerary.

The good news is that after taking 36 doses of the decoction, she successfully became pregnant.

Patients from remote areas often come to the site to sign up, no matter what time the clinic is busy, I will always come.

Some patients are financially strapped. In order to allow them to travel back and forth on the same day and save on accommodation costs, it is my normal practice to sit on one ass from morning to night.

I have always believed that doctors are benevolent and cannot be cold doctors. Our diagnosis and treatment must be warm and humane. It is not easy to be considerate of patients, and consider them more.

There are always some opinions in the society comparing Chinese medicine and Western medicine. I attach importance to Chinese medicine, but do not exclude Western medicine. Both have their own strengths and can learn from each other.

Western medicine diagnosis focuses on local lesions, while TCM diagnosis focuses on systemic effects; Western medicine treatment focuses on commonality and less consideration of individual differences. The same type of medicine is used for the same disease, and the treatment is standardized and programmed.

Traditional Chinese medicine treatment focuses on individuality and is tailor-made.

In clinical practice, we can continue to explore and study the internal connection between the two, and find the combination point to further confirm the correctness of the theory of traditional Chinese medicine, and to open up a wider range of ways to guide clinical treatment and improve the cure rate.

In recent years, through the systematic research and comparison of traditional Chinese and Western medicine gynecological physiological theory, we have carried out a more detailed discussion from the aspects of female anatomy and function, and provided some basis for the study of gynecological diseases with integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine.

For various problems encountered in medical treatment, reading classics and multi-clinical studies is still the only way to solve the problem.

After classic reading, it is necessary to go to clinical practice. If there is clinical deficiency, then go back to reading, and then go back to clinical verification. This step-by-step, learning and repeated method is the most practical and effective.

I pay attention to cultivating the spirit of "learning from the ancients and not ignoring the ancients", and require students to "study diligently and comprehend", not only pay attention to the modern research of Chinese and Western medicine, but also be diligent in their own clinical practice, and gradually form their own unique diagnosis and treatment system. .

Nowadays, there are more and more young people who love Chinese medicine and devote themselves to Chinese medicine. I am very happy. What could be more gratifying than having a successor!
