The Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Li Jiachao, said that the event is of special significance and can promote Hong Kong students' understanding of the Constitution, the Basic Law of Hong Kong and national security, and enhance the younger generation's national concept and national identity.

He said that with the start of the new school year, Hong Kong high school curriculum "Civic and Social Development" will include the content of the mainland inspection, which will surely deepen students' understanding of the country's history, culture and development, as well as Hong Kong's unique advantages under "One Country, Two Systems".
