Recently, Chen Mou, a citizen of Genhe, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and Dong Mou, a tourist from Shenzhen, delivered a "big bird" to the duty room of Yoanli Police Station of Genhe Forest Public Security Bureau.

According to the discoverer, Dong Mou, a tourist from Shenzhen, passed through the Shiye District of the Genhe Forestry Bureau’s Wuli Kuma Forest Farm, more than 20 kilometers away from Genhe City, and found a “big bird” standing on the side of the road and saw passing pedestrians and vehicles. He did not shy away. When Dong got off the car to check the heron, Chen, a citizen of Genhe, also drove by. Under the guidance of Chen, the two took the "big bird" to the Yoanli police station.

After identification, it was confirmed that the injured "big bird" was a heron. The initial inspection by the police found that the heron was in good spirits, but the leg was injured. After the heron's body gradually recovered, it was released into nature.

The heron is a national second-class protected animal and is a wading bird.

It inhabits the shores of various waters and its shallow waters, and mainly feeds on animal food such as small fish and insects.
